Lambton ready to vaccinate 75 year olds

If you’re 75 years or older, you can get in virtual line for your COVID-19 vaccine.

Lambton Public Health has opened pre-registration for people over 75 to get the vaccine. One in-home caregiver who lives with them can also register online. https://lambtonpublichealth.ca/2019-novel-coronavirus/covid-19-vaccines/register/

Once you’ve pre-registered, you’ll get an invitation to schedule a vaccine appointment.

“We have been administering vaccinations to 80+ year olds and their in-home caregivers at a faster rate than anticipated,” said Dr. Sudit Ranade, Medical Officer for Lambton Public Health in a news release. “We want to keep this momentum going, so we are opening pre-registration for the next group based on age.”

Ranade says 12,653 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered already – 1,251 people are fully immunized.

Lambton’s Call Centre will be open one extra day- Saturday from 8:30am to 4:30pm – to help people register. The number is 519-383-8331.

Vaccines by appoint will be given at the Point Edward arena from Monday to Saturday 10 am to 6 pm, in Wyoming at the Fairgrounds on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 6 pm and in Forest Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 am to 6 pm.
