Sarnia COVID-19 vaccine protester tests positive for the virus
September 4, 2021
Lambton Public Health are asking people who might have been at a vaccine protest at Mike Weir Park Wednesday to watch for symptoms of COVID-19.
Officials say someone who attended the protest “focused on COVID-19 vaccines and youth” which took place between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm tested positive for the virus.
“The individual was contagious at the event, and indicated they had a lot of conversations with fellow protestors unmasked for greater than 15 minutes,” said Lori Lucas, Supervisor of Health Protection in a news release.
“They also noted that physical distancing was not being observed.”
“We are now encouraging anyone who attended the event to monitor for symptoms. If symptomatic, individuals should isolate immediately, and get tested at their earliest convenience.”
