New drive test centre opened to clear pandemic backlog
October 14, 2021
If you’re waiting for a drivers test, there is good news.
The provincial government has opened a new temporary road test centre on Christina St. in Point Edward across the street from the court house to help clear the backlog caused by the pandemic.
People trying to book Class G2 and G road tests were now booked into 2022 for their test in Lambton County.
Starting today, you can book a test online at DriveTest.ca for appointments which begin Monday. The hours for the tests will be from 7 am to 6 pm in November to get even more people through the system.
The Sarnia centre is one of three announced Wednesday. In all, another 251 driver testing agents are being hired to clear the backlog.
