McRoberts says there was no “pay off” for her to leave Sarnia’s mayoral race as Dennis alleges

Petrolia public works/recreation workers reach deal
December 27, 2021
The Town of Petrolia has reached a new contract with its unionized employees.
Councillors heard the details of the tentative deal during an in camera session Dec. 13 and gave their approval for the pact.
Clerk Mandi Pearson says all full time and part time public works and parks/recreation employees fall under the collective agreement as part of Local 2393. It’s not clear exactly how many people are employed in the two divisions of the town.
“At this time however the full details of the CUPE contract are not available as we will be presenting this through a by-law in January,” she writes in an email to The Independent.
The four year deal still has to be approved in public by council with the passing of the bylaw.
Pearson confirmed that the improvements in the contract would also apply to management.
