Flyers top of the Yeck division after OT win

For the first time in its history, the Petrolia Flyers have finished the regular season first in the division.

The Petrolia Flyers beat the number two Port Stanley Sailors 3-2 in overtime to clinch the number one spot in the Yeck Division of the PJHL.

Ethan Flintoff scored an unassisted goal just 36 seconds in the overtime period to seal the win.

The Flyers trailed 2-0 in the second when Andrew Jaques scored at 15:52. Tobias Iantorno had the assist.

Then, at 13:39, Parker Davidson scored off the sticks of Lucas Rogers and Cameron Davidson to set up the overtime win.

Ethan Everaert stopped 43 shots on the night.

The Flyers end the regular season with a record of 28 wins and 11 loses. The team takes on Lucan in the first round of playoffs.
