Flags split weekend playoff games with Blenheim.

John Chartrand made 60 saves in backstopping the Mooretown Flags to a 4-2 win over Blenheim at the Moore Sports Complex to open the Stobbs Division playoffs.
The number of saves was a playoff career high for the third year netminder.
Dylan Dupuis scored twice for the Flags Saturday with singles going to Casey Schouten and Jack Baerg before a season-high crowd of 356 fans. Masen Flett had two assists.
Lambton Jr. Sting alum Brad McAlpine had both goals for Blenheim. Alvinston’s Joey Hayter had an assist.
Sunday in Blenheim, the Blades scored in the opening minute and coasted to a 6-2 win to even the series at one game each.
Ex-Sarnia Legionnaire Cameron Graham led the Blades with two goals and an assist. Adam Broad and Wes Brooks scored for the Flags who were heavily outshot again, this time by a margin of 70-40.
Chartrand made 44 saves before being relieved by Josh Breault early in the third period. Breault stopped 20 of 21 shots in just under 16 minutes of ice time.
Game three is Wednesday in Mooretown. Game time is 7:30.
