LCCVI loses opener at OFSAA

March 18, 2025

The Holy Cross Raiders from St. Catharines beat LCCVI, 6-1 in the opening game for both teams this morning at the OFSAA girls’ A/AA hockey tournament in Sudbury.

The second-seeded Raiders had period leads of 1-0 and 3-1 before salting the game away with three unanswered goals in the third period.

Olivia Minten had LCCVI’s lone goal, a power play tally in the second period.

The Lancers came into the provincial tournament ranked 13.

The Lancers play Simcoe this afternoon at 2 p.m.
