Lambton woman arrested after four hour standoff in Camlachie

One person has been arrested after a four-hour standoff in Camlachie.

Just before 11 am Wednesday, the OPP were called about a person breaching conditions ordered by a court.

Police went to Mia Lane in Camlachie. Twelve police vehicles and officers were seen on the end of the street in the new subdivision.

By 3 pm, police had a 68 year-old Lambton County woman in custody. She’s been charged with failing to comply with a release order.

Police said there were no concerns for public safety and that the response was part of an ongoing investigation.

One person hurt after pickup, transport collide on Petrolia Line

One person was injured after a two-vehicle accident on Petrolia Line. St. Clair Township firefighters and the OPP were called to the corner of Petrolia Line and Brigden Road just after 5 pm Wednesday when a pickup and tractor-trailer collided. The driver of the pickup went to hospital with what police say are non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues

Blue box recycling returns to Petrolia with new provincial contract
