The Alvinston Killer Bees beat the Strathroy Jets, 4-3 in Northern Premier Hockey League action before a full house in Alvinston Saturday.

The home team took 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 leads on goals by Brennan Feasey, Owen McGowan and Alex Cunningham only to have Strathroy tie the game on three separate occasions. James McEwan scored the game-winner for the Killer Bees with under six minutes left in regulation time.

Kraig Wright had two assists for Alvinston along with Ethan Lamoureux.

Goaltenders Joseph Raaymakers of the Bees and Jesse Raymond of the Jets were selected as the first and second stars respectively. Raaymakers made 25 stops and Raymond 28. The Bees outshot Strathroy, 32-28.

Alvinston, with a record of 15-3 on the season, can clinch first place in the Metropolitan Division with a win against Tilbury at home this Saturday. Game time is 6:45.

Burn ban in affect in Plympton-Wyoming
