The Mooretown Flags will have home ice advantage in the first round of the Provincial Junior Hockey League playoffs, clinching fourth place in the Stobbs Division with a 6-4 win over the Jr. Kings in Dresden.

Wheatley, the Kings or Amherstburg are battling for the final playoff spots and the chance to play the Flags.

Dylan Dupuis led the Flags in Dresden with a goal and two assists while Carson Crawford and Casey
Schouten each added a goal and an assist.

Ryan Vidler, Noah Waybrant and Landon Marcy also scored for the Flags. Caleb Rosseel had a pair of
helpers.

John Chartrand made 33 saves for the goaltending victory.

Wyoming’s Nathan Reidhead had a goal and an assist for the Kings and East Lambton Eagles grad Ryan Bork contributed an assist for Dresden.

A night later, at home, Ethan Dunbar made a career high 47 saves for Mooretown in a 3-2 loss to Lakeshore.

Schouten tied the game at 6:37 of the final frame before Lakeshore scored the winner.

Mooretown, with a record of 20 19-1, closes out the regular season taking on Walpole Island Thursday and entertaining Amherstburg Saturday.
