Bluewater Health staff, professional staff and volunteers are being celebrated at Bluewater Health’s Annual Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, May 22, at the Holiday Inn in Point Edward. In total 296 staff, professional staff and volunteers will be recognized for a service anniversary from five to 45 years (in five year increments) at the ceremony. Additionally, the careers of 62 retirees will be honoured.

“We are extremely proud to celebrate the contributions of our staff, professional staff and volunteers. As valuable members of our hospital team, their focus on quality patient and family-centred care for the residents of Sarnia-Lambton is unwavering,” said Sue Denomy, President and CEO. “Every day, I am inspired by the outstanding commitment to healthcare that I witness in this organization.”

This year, the longest serving award recipient is Jackie Chate, RN, who is celebrating 45 years of service. Ten other honorees will be celebrating 40 years of service.

Bluewater Health’s Bridging Excellence Awards recipients will also be announced as part of this recognition event. These awards, sponsored by the Board of Directors, honour individuals and teams for their contribution, dedication and commitment to excellence in their role at Bluewater Health.
