Art in the Park Petrolia has already broken all  records.

More than double the number of applications have been received over last year’s numbers; and the event was officially in a “wait-list” situation earlier this year than ever before.

This popular Petrolia July event is attracting artists from further away than ever; accepted artists are coming from Barrie, Oshawa, Toronto, Hamilton and all points in between to join our very talented local artists at this year’s events.

Event registrar Barbara Prescott is very pleased with the diversity as well as the quality of all the accepted artists, saying that the Art in the Park Petrolia jurying committee had some difficult decisions to make but in the end this show will be a festival of talent for all the visitors.

The entertainment line-up is very nearly full too, according to coordinator Danna Andrade.  This year’s line-up will include everything from drum circles to jazz.  Applications for the Rotary Youth Idol contest as well as entertainer applications can be found on line at www.artintheparkpetrolia.com or call Danna at 519-882-4133.

Carol Graham, chair of Art in the Park Petrolia, says “we are thrilled and very excited with how Art in the Park Petrolia 2014 is coming together; it’s going to be a great event”.
