Lambton OPP responded to an unusual complaint; a person on Cedarview Drive saw a 300 pound black bear in his backyard.

The bear came in off a cliff which slopes towards the Lake Huron beach. Once the bear saw the person, it scooted off. He was last seen going toward the beach.

The OPP say black bears have made their way to Lambton County – as well as moose –  and if you see a black bear that “appears to be a predatory nuisance – you should inform police and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
