June 10, 2016
You will have a chance June 11 and 12 to get a peek into some of Lambton County’s historic buildings.
This is the third time Doors Open Lambton County has been held. In 2014, 44 sites were featured, logging 6,800 visits.
This year, the event will highlight some of the cutting edge contributions Lambton County has made.
“Building on our past success and participant feedback, the third Doors Open event this summer will allow visitors and residents to explore thirty hidden spaces all across the county,” says Steering Committee Chair and County Archivist Luke Stempien. “These amazing sites celebrate our local history and culture in Lambton County.”
There are private homes, churches, museums, businesses, and cultural spaces all open n this free family-friendly event. Sites such as Enbridge Sarnia Solar, Fairbank Oil, the Kineto Theatre and the Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery, the ART Shop in Watford, and Christ Church in Petrolia are among the historic buildings featured.
