Two Ontario men face charges after alleged immigration fraud at Lambton College

VPP says the show will go on right now

Victoria Playhouse Petrolia says for now, its season will open as planned April 28.
But Callandra Dendias, VPP Program Coordinator, says officials are keeping a close eye on how COVID-19 is developing leading up to the first performance of the summer theatre.
After the World Health Organization declared the flu-like virus a pandemic, major public events have been cancelled. The NBA, NHL, major league baseball and minor hockey have all suspended their seasons to limit COVID-19’s spread.
In New York, many large theatres on Broadway have closed after the state limited gatherings over 500 people.
“At this time, all VPP performances are proceeding as scheduled,” says Dendias in a news release. “We have significantly elevated the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting protocols for all public, backstage, and office areas within our theatre. We have also increased the quantity and visibility of alcohol-based sanitizer dispensers in the theatre lobby. We invite patrons to make use of soap, paper towels, and tissues available in all restrooms.
“Recognizing that this is an evolving situation, we will continually reassess our policies and procedures as new information becomes available.”
