Testing shows five more people at Sarnia retirement home have virus

Mass testing at Landmark Village in Sarnia has revealed five more people have COVID-19.
Thirty-nine people have now tested positive for the virus, up five from Monday. Thirty residents have tested positive and nine staff members according to the latest figures from Lambton Public Health which declared an outbreak at the retirement home March 26. Six residents have died there.
There are still no new cases at Lambton Meadowview Villa. April 15, officials announced a staff member involved in direct patient care had tested positive.
Both Landmark and Meadowview residents and staff have been tested for COVID-19.
Public health officials say 25 per cent of the cases in Lambton are in long term care settings. About 70 per cent of the people who have died from the virus are over 50.
