Petrolia’s recycling blues

Copeland helped start the Alvinston Food Bank
May 1, 2020
One of the driving forces behind Alvinston’s food bank has passed away.
Pat Copeland died Sunday.
Copeland was among the people who started the Alvinston Food Bank in 2017. At the time, she said, one in three people at the Petrolia Food Bank were from her community and a local food bank was needed. It continues to provide help in the community every other Wednesday.
Copeland was also active in her church, Hope United, including being involved in the summer camps and vacation bible school. For many, she was the friendly face at the arena’s canteen for years.
Copeland, who most recently lived in Oil Springs, was 67.
