Sting add Stanley Cup champion to its scouting staff

Chad LaRose is the new Director of US Scouting for the Sarnia Sting.  
 
“I am extremely excited to have the chance to work with Dylan and the entire Sarnia Sting organization. Ever since I have retired, I wanted to get back into the Ontario Hockey League. This is an opportunity for me to work with some of the best players in the world and our ultimate goal is to have the best talent playing in Sarnia, in front of our fans. I cannot wait to get start and look forward to meeting everyone,” says LaRose.

LaRose joins the Sting staff after a twelve-year professional hockey career that included 508 National Hockey League games with the Carolina Hurricanes, as well as a Stanley Cup Championship in 2005. The Fraser, Michigan product was a standout junior player for the Plymouth Whalers between 2000-03 that saw him record an impressive 111 goals and 201 points in 152 games.  His total included a 61-goal campaign with the Whalers in 2002-03.

“He is another excellent hockey mind, who again has the experience at many levels of junior and professional hockey,” says Seca He is very connected at all levels and has played in both the USHL and Ontario Hockey League.”

“We feel Chad will be a great tool identifying US talent and in our recruiting process.”
