Three hospitalized in Lambton with COVID-19

There are now three people in hospital in Sarnia fighting COVID-19.

Friday, a woman in her 80s from Fiddick’s Retirement Home was admitted as the Petrolia home declared an outbreak Oct. 30. The woman is so far the only person at Fiddicks to test positive for the virus.

Officials with Bluewater Health say over the last two days to more people were admitted. a 72 year-old man and a 62 year old-woman were both admitted with COVID-19. They were both isolating at home before they were admitted.

Julia Oosterman, chief communications officer at the hospitals says no one is in the intensive care unit.

Monday, Lambton Public Health recorded two more cases of COVID-19 in the community. Four people in total are dealing with COVID-19 right now.

Today Ontario hit another new high in the rate of COVID-19 cases with 1050 people testing positive. Most of the cases are in large urban centres.
