No one arrested yet in Petrolia stabbing

Lambton OPP are still looking for the people who stabbed a Petrolia man at a Halloween party on the weekend.

Officials released the first information about the stabbing this morning saying “Officers arrived on scene and observed an individual with multiple injuries, consistent with an edged weapon assault. The individual was transported to hospital by Lambton EMS. 

“Members of the Lambton County OPP Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.”

Sources tell The Independent the young man was hosting a party at his parent’s home on Grove St. Saturday while they were there. A group of people arrived from Sarnia who planned to join the party after midnight. The host told didn’t know them, had not invited them and asked them to leave.

As he was escorting them from the backyard back to their vehicle in the front, the young man was stabbed six times.

He was taken to hospital in London where he is recovering.

OPP have not said how many people they are looking for, if police know who they are nor have they given a description of the vehicle but are looking for information from the public.
