Driver facing assault charges

A 37 year-old woman is facing charges of impaired driving and assaulting police after an incident in Plympton-Wyoming.
Lambton OPP pulled up to a car on London Line Friday around 9 pm. They found the driver inside who appeared to have been consuming alcohol and appeared to be impaired.
When police attempted to arrest the woman, she resisted arrest and assaulted the officer.
The driver was eventually taken to the Petrolia detachment for three breathylzer tests.
Rachael Bruce has been charged with two counts of impaired driving, resisting a peace officer and assaulting a peace officer.
She’ll be in court Jan. 31.
