Traffic stop leads to drunk driving charges in Petrolia

A Watford man is facing charges after Lambton OPP stopped a car with expired plates.
Police say just before 10 pm Wednesday, an officer in patrol in Petrolia saw a vehicle with expired plates. The vehicle was stopped and after talking with the driver, police believed he’d been drinking.
Officers did a roadside test and then brought the man to the OPP detachment on Oil Heritage Road for more testing.
A 45 year-old Watford man has been charged with impaired driving.
