‘A dangerous precedent’ CKs mayor says removing EA will have ‘devastating impact’

A Corunna man has been fined $13,000 and banned from hunting after killing a moose without a tag.
Ministry of Natural Resources officials say Christopher Brown was found guilty of killing a bull moose without a licence in a Sioux Lookout court June 29.
Court heard Brown shot a bull moose without a tag while hunting in the Ignance area in October 2019. He brought the whole moose back to southern Ontario where it was processed.
Conservation officers were tipped off by the OPP, interviewed witnesses, executed a search warrant and did DNA testing before laying the charges.
Brown was found guilty of hunting without a licence and transporting the wildlife. He was fined $13,000 and is banned from hunting in Ontario for the next six years.
