Sarnia City/County Councillor and Wrestler Brian White celebrated his win during the afternoon card at the Plympton-Wyoming Fall Fair in front of a boisterous crowd. It was one of the sights and sounds of the yearly event. Tractors were part of the fair theme and they could be seen everywhere, from boxes on children walking in the parade, to a tractor made of wood by Wyoming Tree Service. The midway entertained the younger fair goers. Peyton Dekeyser, 11, (left) and Lila Marsden, 8, and Elliott Marsden, 11, in the back take a ride on Route 66, while the Zipper lit up the evening sky Friday. Wyoming’s world champion dragon boaters, Megan Johnston and Katelyn Finch helped open the fair Friday night. And there were lots of animals, from showing cattle, to Nylah Burns showing sheep. Rob Wells has been collecting farm toys for close to 45 years, having started when he was 15. Ten years ago, the Plympton-Wyoming Fall Fair started to judge toy farm scenes, which is something unique to Plympton-Wyoming fair. In the beginning, Wells would enter only a couple of farm scenes but over the years has expanded what he puts on display. It takes him hours to put together a scene, He is encouraged by the number of young people enter the class each year, saying he doesn’t compete against them, and often gives them collectables.

There was a familiar face in the ring for many as the Classic Championship Wrestling entertained a boisterous crowd on Sunday afternoon at the Wyoming Fall Fair. Brian White celebrated his win during the afternoon wrestling card. When he is not in the ring, he is a mild mannered Sarnia city councillor and a Lambton County councillor.
