Petrolia celebrates Christmas

December 3, 2023

Christmas arrived in Petrolia this weekend.

Friday night, the weekend events kicked off with Christmas in the Park, although it moved to the Petrolia Farmers’ Market because a day of rain had made the ground at Victoria Park mucky. People sampled chili from local service clubs under the pavilion then went out onto Fletcher Street to watch as the lights in the park turned on.

Saturday, the downtown was busy again as people went to the Farmers’ Market to take in the vendors then stayed for the parade at 2 pm.
