LCCVI’s Grant cracks OFSAA top 20

McKinnon, Peters, better SWOSSA results
LCCVI's James Grantbettered his 6K Cross Country time from the SWOSSA meet in Sarnia and cracked the top 20 at OFSAA.
Monday, Grant, seen here at the SWOSSA event in Canatara Park Oct. 24, placed 19th at the provincial championships in Ottawa, just 14/100ths of a second in front of SWOSSA's first place finisher Brendan Currie of St. Thomas of Villanova in Lasalle.
The southwestern Ontario duo came in just a minute under the winner, Daniel Cova of Louis-Reil High School in Ottawa. Two hundred and seventy runners completed the event.
In the Novice Boys' 4K, North Lambton's Colton Peters placed 32nd with a time of 14:46.12, about a minute and a half behind the winner.
Sarnia Northern placed 12th in the Novice Boys division with a 26th place finish by Tayvin Youn and a 110th place finish by Liam Reynolds in the 269 person field.
And in the Para 4K, LCCVI's Cash McKinnon finished his race with a time of 46:25.85, bettering his time of 55 minutes at the SWOSSA event. Darius Landon is McKinnon's guide for the race.
