North Lambton tops Dresden in Senior A championship

North Lambton has captured the Lambton-Kent Senior A Girls basketball championship.

The Eagles defeated Lambton-Kent Composite School 40-30 in the Nov. 7 tilt in Forest.

Alexis Wice had 14 points, Lily Heynsbergen tallied nine and Delaney Appeldoorn had eight in the game for the winners.

LK kept pace with the Eagles in the first three quarters but North Lambton came storming back in the fourth.

Sophia Metcalfe had nine points for the Cardinals with Alivia Coles putting up nine and Julia Pegg hitting six in losing effort.

North Lambton and Lambton-Kent met four times this year with the Eagles winning all four match ups.

Rural policing relief coming from province
