Plympton-Wyoming fire to distribute smoke and carbon monoxide detectors

November 7, 2024

Enbridge Gas has donated 126 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms the Plympton-Wyoming.

It’s part of the Safe Community Project Zero where the company provides 14,500 alarms in 75 communities.

“The best way to reduce potential exposure to carbon monoxide is to properly maintain fuel-burning equipment,” said Robin Ellwood, Sarnia Supervisor Operations, Enbridge Gas in a news release. “These alarms are a critical second line of defense against carbon monoxide poisoning, known as ‘the silent killer’.”

“The residents of Plympton-Wyoming will benefit greatly from this donation and the program helps us bring awareness to the community about the benefit of having working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms,” said William Davidson, Acting Fire Chief in a news release.
