It’s official; Bob Bailey will be the PC Party’s candidate in Sarnia-Lambton in the next provincial election.
Bailey, who told The Independent in June he would seek another term, was acclaimed Dec. 17.
The Petrolia resident, retired from NOVA Chemical and was first elected to the provincial legislature in 2007. He in his fifth term in the job.
In Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, newly elected MPP Steve Pinsonneault has also been given the nod to run in the coming provincial election. The former Chatham-Kent Councillor and Thamesville businessman won his seat in May, filling a vacancy left by Monte McNaughton.
The PC Party still has nearly two years left in its term, however election speculation has been rampant for months, particularly after Premier Doug Ford announced he’d be sending out $250 cheques to all Ontarians in the spring.
