Lambton lands part of 30×30 project

Work on Confederation/Broadway traffic light held up by weather

It’s a question Plympton-Wyoming Councillor Bob Woolvett hears “every morning, all week” – when are the traffic lights at Broadway and Confederation coming.
The town pushed Lambton County to help install the lights, going so far as to hire its own consultant to point out the increasing traffic which makes it difficult to make left hand turns near the elementary school.
In November, contractors were hard at work and officials hoped it could be completed in 2024. But Paul da Silva, manager of public works for the town, says the weather has stopped work.
“I think at this point we probably will wait until the weather improves a bit.
“I would say spring,” said da Silva.
