The Wyoming Cattlebarons are on a heater. They have now won eight straight and are unbeaten in their last 10 contests after winning three straight Western Counties senior games last week.

The defending OBA champions ran their record to 12-1-2 with a 9-3 win over the Pirates in Port Lambton on Sunday afternoon.

Braeden Nickles had three hits for the winning side. Eric Marsh went the distance for the mound victory. The Cattlebarons had also beaten the Pirates, 4-3 in Wyoming early last week. Sandwiched in between, Wyoming outscored Dresden, 7-6 on Friday night at Canton Park. Mitch Robb was the winning pitcher and Craig Steadman earned the save. Justin Cook had a three-run home run for the Bulls.

Dresden is tied for the standings lead with the Cattlebarons, both with 26 points, but the Barons have four games in hand. Port Lambton is third in the standings with 25 points and Corunna is fourth at 21.
