Town, Lambton county investigating future Petrolia library expansion

Squires fall just short in first-place showdown

The visiting Seaforth Centenaires scored twice in three-and-a-half minutes in the third period to beat the Petrolia Squires, 3-2 in Ontario Elite Hockey League action Friday.
Seaforth now leads the South Conference with a 10-2 record. Petrolia is tied for second with Elora at 8-3.
Zach VanEyk had a goal and assisted on the other P-town marker – by Curtis Helps. VanEyk was chosen as player of the game.
The Squires had a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes of action. Seaforth cut the gap to 2-1 at the second intermission before the two decisive goals in the final frame.
Jakob Knowles made 28 stops in the Petrolia crease as the home town outshot Seaforth, 35-31.
Petrolia is in Tavistock tonight. The Royals upended Elora, 6-2 on Friday night.
