High winds make driving in rural Lambton, 402 tricky

Drivers are reporting poor conditions across Lambton County.

After a snowfall Wednesday and Thursday morning, high winds are picking up the freshly fallen snow, reducing visibility and causing icy to drifted to track bare conditions across the region.

Drivers in Lambton Shores report OPP stopping traffic on parts of Forest Road around 12:45 pm. Northville Road is also said to be in poor condition.

Highway 402 was blocked off this morning near the Lambton/Middlesex border to remove a cement truck from the ditch.

Wednesday, heavy tow trucks were called to remove three transports in the same area.

OPP ask drivers to use caution, snow down and have your lights on when you’re on the the road.
