Alvinston Killer Bees win two at Outlaw Tournament

The Alvinston Killer Bees will travel a return trip of nearly 1,200 km to eastern Ontario this weekend to play the Tilbury Bluebirds in the quarter-finals on Thursday.
The Bees were among eight teams which played a seeding round over the weekend. Alvinston opened the preliminary round in Smiths Falls on Saturday with a 7-2 win over the Deseronto Bulldogs and followed that up with a 7-2 win over the Bluebirds Sunday afternoon.
Brandon Couto led the Bees against the Bulldogs with two goals and two assists with Isaac Barr, Noah Westwater, Grant Spence, Connor Lovie and Jacob Chantler added the others. Bayly Fryfogle, Sheldon Thompson and James McEwan each had two assists.
Kaden Fulcher made 23 of 25 Deseronto saves as the Bees outshot the Bulldogs, 55-24.
In the second game, McEwan had two goals and a helper and Thompson had a goal and two assists in a 7-2 win over Tilbury.
Cameron Krupa, Alex Cunningham, Lovie and Fryfogle also scored for the Bees. Couto registered three assists and Kraig Wright had two assists.
Fulcher made 22 stops as Alvinston outshot Tilbury, 48-22.
The Killer Bees now travel back to Smith Falls Thursday to take on Tilbury. The puck drops between the Bees and Birds at 7:30.
