Lambton Public Health is reporting two more outbreaks and 51 more cases of COVID-19 in the community Saturday.
Data released this morning shows there are now 2,565 people who have tested positive for the virus over the last year and 229 people are ill with the virus now.
There were also 30 recoveries registered by public health.
An outbreak was declared at St. Patrick’s High School. There were five students and one staff member with COVID-19 Friday. Public health declares an outbreak if two or more of the cases can be linked to transmission at the school.
And a staff member at Afton Park Place has tested positive for the virus, placing that long term care home in outbreak status.
Yesterday, the province released changes to the Reopening Framework. Restaurants in communities now in lockdown can welcome patrons on their outdoor patios however they all have to live together and can only dine in groups of four. In the red zone, dining will also be allowed indoors with up to 50 people at tables.
