‘A dangerous precedent’ CKs mayor says removing EA will have ‘devastating impact’

The show will go on – just a few months later say Paint Ontario organizers

The popular Paint Ontario Art Show at the Lambton Heritage Museum is being postponed until September.
The museum, like all others in the province, is closed during the provincial Stay-at-Home order right now.
Officials says this year’s show – the 25th anniversary show – will be an in-person event. It was also in-person last year with COVID-19 protocols. Those measures will be in place when the show begins Sept. 3.
Paint Ontario is the largest show and sale of representational art in Ontario, typically
featuring over 200 original paintings by some 100 artists, selected from almost 700
submissions.
This year, for the first time, sculpture will be featured and add a new dimension to the visitor art experience.
Well over 600 pieces have been entered in the Places and Faces categories. Jurors are
currently viewing and discussing each piece carefully.
Artists will soon be notified of their acceptance.
