Petrolia Line reopens after police search Bridgeview Park in Petrolia

PETROLIA Line has reopened after the OPP converged on Bridgeview Park in Petrolia Sunday.

As many as 12 police units were in and around the park in an apparent search for a suspect. Lambton OPP said on social media officers had blocked off Petrolia Line from Tank Street to the west of the bridge “a due to an ongoing investigation.”

Among the vehicles and officers on site was a canine unit. An ambulance was also on standby just outside of the Tank Street Road block for some time.
Three other police vehicles were on Lancey Street which runs parallel to Bridgeview Park.

Police left the scene around 6pm and have not released whether any arrests had been made.
