Lambton County residents, school children, Legion members mark Remembrance Day

November 11, 2024

Across Canada and in Lambton County, people paused to Remember.

At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, ceremonies are held to honour those who have served our country in wars.

In Petrolia, school children mingled with adults at the cenotaph in Victoria Park, listening to the last post and watching as wreaths of Remembrance were laid.

In Watford, members of the Legion marched to the cenotaph on Nauvoo Road where the community marked the moment together.

In Forest, people lined Townsend Line in respect for the members of the Forest Legion heading to the cenotaph for the service there.

Below are some of the moments from the local ceremonies.
