Seven charges laid after trailer detatchs, smashes into hydro pole

An Enniskillen man is facing seven charges after an accident where a trailer crashed into a hydro pole.

Just before noon Dec. 7, Lambton OPP were called to Rokeby Line west of Telfer Road in St. Clair Township for an accident. A trailer being towed by a commercial vehicle detached, left the road and smashed into a hydro pole causing significant damage. It tooktook hydro crews eight hours to repair the damaged pole. Police say there were no injuries.

OPP and the Ministry of Transportation investigated and charged a 34 year-old from Enniskillen with seven provincial offences surrounding how the trailer was attached, failing to surrender daily inspection reports, having an overweight vehicle and improper means of attaching the trailer.
