Warwick gets $5,000 for training from Enbridge

Warwick Township firefighters will have access to new training manuals after a donation from Enbridge Gas.

The company provides smoke and C02 detectors and training manuals to fire departments across Ontario.

Recently, the company the company provided $5,000 to the township for firefighting training materials through the Safe Community Project Assist. That’s a program with the Fire Marshal’s Public Safety Council that supplements existing training for firefighters where Enbridge operates.

Suzanne Shea, manager, Municipal and Stakeholder Affairs West, Enbridge Gas presented the donation to Watford Chief Rick Sitlington and Warwick Mayor Todd Case.

“We are committed to providing emergency response training support to Ontario firefighters so
they can continually learn, improve, and protect the vibrant and healthy communities they
call home,” Shea said.
