John Chartrand now has the most regular season wins by a goaltender in the history of the Mooretown Flags.

He stopped 36 of 38 shots for his 60th career victory as the Flags doubled Blenheim, 4-2 in Mooretown Nov. 5.

Chartrand surpasses Jake Wilkins who won 59 games in the Flags crease between 2016-20.

With a victory in Amherstburg Sunday, Chartrand is now within two victories of the all-time record of 71 wins in both the regular season and playoffs also set by Wilkins with the Flags beginning nearly a decade ago.

Offensively, Jace Dupuis led Mooretown with a goal and three assists against the Blades. Lucas Ross, Casey Schouten and Dylan Dupuis also scored for the Flags.

Landon Marcy and Owen MacDonald both had two assists.

Noah Waybrant scored twice in the victory over the Admirals on Sunday.

Dylan Dupuis, Carson Crawford and Schouten also scored for the Flags who are in fourth place in the Stobbs Division with a record of 11-8.

Jace Dupuis and Owen MacDonald each had two assists. MacDonald is now on a six-game point streak.

Mooretown has won five of its last six games with the only blemish being a 4-1 loss to Lakeshore Saturday.

Jace Dupuis had the lone Flags goal and Ethan Dunbar made 30 saves.

Mooretown is at Walpole Island on Thursday.

The Flags host Essex on Saturday at 7:30 and have a return game with the Admirals in Amherstburg late Sunday afternoon.
