After falling into second place in the Northern Premier Hockey League’s Metropolitan Division with a loss to Strathroy Friday, the Alvinston Killer Bees decided very quickly they preferred a more scenic view.

Alvinston now leads Strathroy by a point in the standings with each team having three games remaining in the regular season including another first place showdown this Saturday in Alvinston. Puck drop is 6:45.

Jacob Chantler had a pair of goals and three assists with Ethan Lamoureux and Caden Faulkner both adding a goal and three assists.

Cameron Krupa, Jamie Fraser, Cameron Rombouts and Matthew Cunningham also scored for Alvinston who had period leads of 8-0 and 10-1 on its way to the two points.

Brandon Coutu and Spencer Hutchinson both had two assists.

Thirteen of 14 Killer Bees’ skaters registered at least one point on the evening.
