He provided a list of the tax rates for every Lambton County municipality during a special budget meeting.

Warwick residents with a home assessed at about $300,000 paid $1,475.22 in municipal taxes. That’s even less than the homeowners paid for county taxes which come to $1,502.47.

Oil Springs residents paid the highest taxes on the same assessed value – $3,060.35, with Sarnia just $10.64 less.

Petrolia residents pay the third highest amount of taxes at $2,976.21, $1,501 more than Warwick residents.

Brooke-Alvinston and Dawn-Euphemia’s taxes were the fourth and fifth highest at $2,878 and $2,625 respectively.
