Three more Lambton residents test positive, two more recover

Three more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Lambton County.

That comes as the number of people at Bluewater Health’s COVID-19 Unit – the people who are the most seriously ill with the virus – decreases and the number of people deemed recovered rises.

There are now 131 people who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus – 13 have died including six at Landmark Village in Sarnia where 23 people were diagnosed with the virus.

Forty-seven people have now recovered according to Lambton Public Health.

There are now 27 people in hospital – 11 are waiting for test results to confirm they have contracted the virus.

Public Health and Bluewater Health along with Lambton EMS are now testing all residents and staff of all 20 local long term care and retirement homes.

Lambton Public Health says of the 796 COVID-19 tests completed 84 per cent were negative.
