Alvinston evens the score in the Battle of Lambton

The Alvinston Killer Bees and Petrolia Squires are now tied at a game each in their first round playoff series in the Western Ontario Super Hockey League.

The Bees drew even with a 7-2 win at Alvinston Tuesday night. The Bees were playing without Tyler Hill, Cameron Rombouts and Matt Stevens who were suspended in the first game of the series.

James McEwan opened the scoring for Alvinston in the first period. Jacob Chantler added a second just 30 seconds later.

McEwan scored again to open the second. Ethan Lamoureux boosted the Bees to 4-0 a minute later.

Carson Perry scored a power play goal with less than five minutes left in the second and McEwan completed his hat trick with a little more than a minute to play in the period.

The Squires got on the board in the third with two goals off the stick of Adam Craievich. Dawson Winchester added the Bees final goal.

As in the first game of the series, Tuesday night was a penalty filled match with over 50 minutes registered.

Game three is Friday night at Greenwood in Petrolia.
