Threat at Corunna school posed ‘no immediate’ concern for safety

There is a police presence at Sir John Moore Community School.

Lambton OPP were called to the Corunna school after an alleged threatening messaging.

OPP investigated and found there was no immediate threat to student or staff safety at this time. “As a precaution, enhanced safety measures have been put in place, including police presence and on-site presence of LKDB’s System Coordinator for Safe Schools,” said Caress Lee, Public Relations Officer, for the public board in a news release.

Anyone will further information about the incident are asked to contact the Lambton Kent District School Board or the Lambton OPP directly.
