Five LCCVI athletes win at Day Two of LK Track and Field meet

Five LCCVI athletes were at the top of the podium at the Lambton-Kent Track Meet .

Meagan Munro, Kole Chapman, Jamison Helps, Jayden Davis-Lumley and James Grant all placed first in their events Wednesday at Great Lakes Secondary School.

Munro won the 300M Junior Women’s Hurdles in 44 seconds. She had already won in the 80M Hurdles and second in the 100M Hurdles.

Kole Chapman won the 300M Hurdles in the Men’s Junior division. He also won the 100M at Tuesday’s event in Chatham.

And James Grant picked up his second win of the tournment with a win in the 800 M. He had a time of 2:00.14.

Jamison Helps won the Junior Shot Put with a throw of 12.62 Wednesday, his first win of the meet.

Jayden Davis-Lumley won the Junior Javelin with a toss of 45.96 M

  • Hunter Kedwell, third, Senior Javelin. Ben Shepherd placed fourth.
  • Belle Stewart, third, Junior 300 M
  • Mitch Pegg, LKCS, third, Senior Shot Put
  • Katelyn Nicholson, third, Senior High Jump
  • Colten Anjema, third, Novice High Jump
  • Hunter Duncan, fourth, Senior Long Jump
  • Ella McCallum fourth, Junior Javelin
  • Lilah Graham, fourth, Junior Shot Put
  • Gavin Carver, fourth, Junior 3000 M
  • Damien Weston, fourth, Junior High Jump
  • Hunter Kedwell, fifth, Senior 400 M Hurdles
  • Hunter Mitchell, fifth, Senior 110 M Hurdles
  • Jamison Helps, fifth, Junior Javelin
  • Jamison Helps, five, Junior High Jump
  • Sabine Gerrits, fifth, Junior High Jump
  • Luke Shaw, fifth, Junior 3000 M

The top eight in each category advances to SWOSSAA at Sandwich Windsor May 21 and 22.

Rachel Burns of Enniskillen placed second in Senior Women’s Shot Put.
