Hillcrest, Lambton Centennial among winners at Lambton-Kent elementary cross country meet

Ecole Hillcrest claimed the girls title and Lambton Centennial took the boys pendant at the LKESSA Cross Country meet Oct. 16.

Abby Welsh and Hunter Pembleton, both of Centennial, won the individual Grade 8 titles at the Petrolia District meet at Bridgeview Park North.

Here are the top three in each category:

Grade Four – Boys: Jack Core (Hillcrest), Ian Brydges (Centennial), Jack Swan (Hillcrest).

Girls: Enid Campbell (Hillcrest), Abrielle Morrison (Brooke Central), Lyla Liukko (Brooke Central).

Grade 5 – Boys: Hendrix McDonald (Wyoming), Kelton Metcalfe (Hillcrest), Maxen Hill (Petrolia Queen Elizabeth).

Girls: Penn Allison (Centennial), Leah Carr (Brigden), Haily Steadman (Petrolia Queen Elizabeth).

Grade 6 – Boys: Harley McCallum (Centennial), Wyatt McGregor (Hillcrest), Rowan Waite (Brigden).

Girls: Harper Chapman (Brooke), Madison Duff (Wyoming), Everly Kohut (Wyoming).

Grade 7 – Boys: Linkin Hill (Petrolia Queen Elizabeth), Ryan Jackson (Wyoming), Weston Piggott (Centennial).

Girls: Nyah Shain (Hillcrest), Paxtyn Bright (Centennial), Josie Kelders (Wyoming).

Grade 8 – Boys: Hunter Pembleton (Centennial), Carter Duff (Wyoming), Ryker McDonald (Centennial).

Girls: Abby Welsh (Centennial), Eloise von der Recke (Brooke), Ryleigh Williams (Hillcrest).

The top 12 in each age group competes Oct. 29 in the District meet in Sarnia.
