OPP looking for Ford F250 after Watford break-in

March 6, 2026

The Independent

Lambton OPP are looking for a black Ford F-250 truck after a break in at MJ’s Variety in Watford early Sunday morning.

It’s a strikingly similar description to a truck observed in Brigden just an hour and 15 minutes earlier when the Super Choice Gas Bar was broken into in Brigden.

In a news release March 5, police said they had been called to a break-in in Watford March 1. Officers determined someone smashed the glass front door of the Nauvoo Road variety store around 1:45 am. Police aren’t sure what was stolen. And the OPP didn’t have a description of the people involved.

Police have surveillance footage of a a black, newer model Ford F-250 King Ranch pickup truck with chrome rims and a chrome tailgate, believed to be involved in the Watford break-in.

The incident was similar to another in Brigden at 12:30 am the same day. There police say two or more people broke the glass front door of the Super Choice Gas Bar, stealing cash and a “undetermined amount of other goods,” according to the OPP.

Sources say the thieves damaged locked cases behind the counter and stole a significant amount of cigarettes before fleeing.

In the Brigden robbery, police are also looking for a black, 2015 to 2017 Ford F-150 Limited edition with larger rims on the front of the driver side than the back. Police say it also had blue LED lights.

The truck was last seen heading east on Courtright Line.
