Gage Brandon has registered his first goal in the BCHL. He notched a power play marker for the Sherwood Park Crusaders in their 4-3 win over the Vernon Vipers on the weekend. Brandon, from Petrolia, was a third round pick by the Flint Firebirds in the OHL Priority Selection in 2024. He played three games with the Firebirds last season.

LCCVI’s Kassandra Rombouts is the 2025 SWOSSAA Girls Golf Champion. Rombouts shot the lowest girls’ round of the day with a score of 69 at Erie Shores Golf & Country Club in Leamington on Monday. This is her first SWOSSAA title after winning LKSSAA in both 2024 and 2025. Rombouts will represent LCCVI at OFSAA in Brampton on October 15

Warwick Township native Meagan Aarts has been hailed as a “gritty Ontario farmer” who helped new standards for hockey at the University of Maine. Aarts, who grew up on a farm near Watford, was honoured by the UMaine Black Bears Women’s Hockey Team Sept. 26 as she was inducted into the university’s Sports Hall of Fame.
